Help/FAQ

About the league

The league is being run by me, Richard Bedwell, purely for the financial benefit of Brocklesby Park cricket club.

Only matches played in County Championship Division One count towards points scored. If you are a fan of a county in the second division as an Essex supporter I know what you are feeling. But the need to get the league set up quickly and halving the number of players and fixtures I have to keep track of this is a necessary evil. Hopefully if the league is a success and merits further seasons, I can expand it, with second division teams, 50 and 20 over games and player values, etc.

Entry Fee

All £5 entry fees need to be paid by the 15th April, at which point all unpaid for teams will be removed from the system. I accept cash or cheque to myself or a committee member at the nets or club dinner or by post. If you need my address or help with anything to do with the site, email me

Rounds

The season is split into four rounds, giving each county as far as possible four matches in each round.

Team selection for that round will be made permanent at any time after 6am BST on the morning of the start of each round. If a team is not selected for any round, the team from the previous round will continue. If an incomplete team is selected, the team will be completed by filling the gaps with the highest scoring non-selected players for that team in the previous round.
