Father: Reverend William Walter George Giffard

Brother: Major Walter Longueville Giffard O.B.E.

Educated: Jesus College (Cambridge)

Occupation: School Master

Military Service: Served with both the Manchester Regiment and the Royal Flying Corps as a Balloon Commander in WW1. He was awarded the Belgian Croix de Guerre.
